BIOGRAPHY
Debora Lebendiker was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age she knew that music and song were her true calling. At the age of eighteen she began to sing in duos and groups, later beginning her career as a soloist and singer-songwriter under the pseudonym Débora Liker.
She developed as a singer under the tuition of a number of private singing coaches. Amalia Estevez stands out, with whom Debora studied lyricism for five years and learnt techniques of applying lyricism to popular song. She has studied the guitar, piano, dance, musical comedy and has done a number of poetry workshops. She has completed her education with a specialism in pedagogy and studied Psychology to third year undergraduate level.
As a singer, Debora recorded two CDs: REINA VIVA and DEBORA LIKER, both produced by Raul Abramzon. The first of these for the company Music Hall Argentina the second for Capital Records. She also recorded one of her own songs, Incontenible Encuentro, for the label Melopea, which was released on a compilation produced by Litto Nebbia under the title Melopea 3.
Debora has performed on different stages, in theatres, café concerts, pubs and television shows.
In 1988 she won the prize for Best Popular Music Composer awarded by a the University of Belgrano, whose jury was chaired by Litto Nebbia (one of the pioneers of Argentine Rock). She was given a Mention of Honor in the area of poetry by the national secretary of culture, a prize which was awarded in the White Room of the Casa Rosada presidential palace.
In 2001 she moved to the USA to begin a new phase of her life as a singing coach. As a result of her experience as a singer she developed The Integral Singer's Method. Her passion and enthusiasm for music and song, together with her knowledge of vocal technique mean that today she can be defined as a integral trainer of professional singers.
Debora has worked on musicals such as La Magia de la Navidad (The Magic of Christmas) in Costa Rica among others for Macroproducciones. She was vocal producer on the La Magia de la Navidad CD. She has taken part in a number of casting sessions for Latin American companies.
Currently she works as a private coach, developing talent and teaching professional singers and coaching on them on recording sessions.
She was the vocal producer on the Pauline Hannah CD recorded in Orlando, Florida and is Vocal Producer on the singer Sofia Reca's CD, recorded in Miami, Florida.
